We can't leave Walmart without a donation to the Children's Miracle Network... we are proud supporters. (& it's just too much fun watching the coins roll around & down the middle.) Today was a parent day at music class. I've been impressed with Gavin this semester--he's supposed practice for 5 minutes, five times a week. He's quick to practice (when I remind him), & he's a quick learner too!

Gavin is about as sporty as they come. He especially loves football & basketball... playing AND watching. He checks the game finder app on our TV to see who's playing when, & often gives me that info, along with who won what/what rank they are/if they've moved up or down, etc. He's also discovered RedZone. He likes watching college & professional--the Denver Broncos are his favorite NFL team, & he loves the U of A & Boise State best in college. So of course when Chrissie sent me this awesome U of A poster for my birthday (along with a pair of cozy U of A slippers), he looked at it longingly & asked, "Are you going to hang that in YOUR room?" I thought about it, but asked him to keep it in his room for me instead. :)

Ellie received a flower delivery this morning from Dad! Happy 5th birthday Ellie! She brought cupcakes to share with her preschool class, then played with Leah in the afternoon while I made her cake. Tonight she chose Papa Murphy's pizza for dinner before Gavin's football practice from 6-7:30, then we had the Birds come for a Frozen birthday celebration including a FHE lesson about LOVE. Can't imagine life without this smiley girl!

As I checked on Ellie before I went to bed, I almost had a tear, (ok, I did), realizing this was her last day of being 4. She's growing up... they all are!

 Football is winding down. we're in week 2 of the tournament... if they win today, they'll play again next Saturday! Ellie & Greyson are going to miss their buddy, Michael (one of Gavin's teammates' little brother). They've played together during many a practice & many a game. :)  They played hide & seek today, which is hard to do on an open field.

 Leah's actual birthday was today--3 days before Ellie's. They are practically twins!

It's Friday night!! we went out to dinner at Panda Express then to the movies to see Dolphin Tale 2.

 Crazy hair/scary shirt day. This was taken after he got home from school, so it held up pretty well, considering! Ellie & Greyson attended Leah's birthday party tonight then had a babysitter while I took Gavin to the BYU football team fireside. I hadn't heard of this before, but they do it the night before many of their away games (they play Boise State tomorrow). It was really cool to hear from some the players about their conversions/experiences, & they sang too! Glad we went.

Errands with Greyson while Ellie was at preschool... Back to the library to return a few books we forgot last night, then to Costco--always a favorite--who can turn down a free lunch of samples? Tonight was also Gavin's first basketball practice of the season. He's been looking forward to it!
