Greyson is often found with a book these days. He'll sometimes bring a book to me, for me to read to him (& he has quite an attention span!), but he also likes his own silent reading time.

Preschool has been at our house this week, with the theme of Thanksgiving. They're a lively group! After preschool, we met Darin for lunch at Rumbi--one of the kids' (and our) favorites.

Whenever we walk to the bus stop to pick up Gavin after school, these girls love to play on this thing. It makes a really loud noise when they jump on it. Such fun... is the bus here yet?

Gavin was honored today for having demonstrated "ownership" (the virtue of the quarter).
They are the Chaparral Cougars, so they use the acronym "ROAR" for the virtues they focus on each quarter: 1) Respect 2) Ownership 3) Attitude 4) Responsibility. One child from every class was chosen to receive the award. They held a special assembly today, gave them each a certificate & a free meal coupon to Sizzler. Four of the kids honored today, including Gavin, were from our ward!

I gave Ellie this little tree to decorate this morning. She spent a lot of time getting it just right, then once she'd finished, she started taking all the ornaments off. I asked her what she was doing (probably with a No!!!), & she said, "I want to do it again!" Why not? Later, 4-year-old Summer came over to play, & then at dinner, Greyson seems to be asking, "Why are you taking my picture & not getting me more of my favoritest food in the world, avocados?"He could easily eat one a day by himself if we'd let him.

Greyson was all smiles during Sunday School today until an 11-month-old girl bit him on the cheek! Darin had set up the Christmas tree last night, & we decorated it today. We had all the help we needed... and more!

Only picture taken all day. We moved our couch into our TV room to make room for the Christmas tree to go in the front window, so we had to move the chairs out of the TV room. This one landed in Ellie's room, & she insisted on sleeping in it tonight. (We moved her into her bed before we went to sleep.)

Happy Thanksgiving! Greyson was napping when dinner was ready. We thought about waking him up, then came to our senses. It was a nice relaxing day, & we had a lot of food for our little family. Darin joked that we ought to have just gone to Cracker Barrel like we have a couple times before. Maybe next year...

Greyson said a new word today: "Nana." That makes (count them) TWO words in his spoken vocabulary... Celebrate good times, come on! I'm still waiting for him to say "Mom" though.

Today was the Boise Temple re-dedication (for ages 8 & up), so the kids had no church today. They had 3 sessions at different times, so we swapped babysitting with the Bird family. We went to the last session at 3:00, & President Monson was so funny--practically silly at times! (Is that ok to say?? Well, he was!!) This was our third Temple dedication to attend (Columbia, SC, Redlands, CA & now Boise, ID). It will be good to have a Temple here again... it's been closed for renovation since Greyson was born!

I walked into the room to find Greyson on the table enjoying someone's lunch leftovers. Uh oh. Gavin's old friend, Cade came over today from 10-6, & I didn't take a single picture of them! They hadn't seen eachother since the end of last school year, but they picked right up where they left off... Legos. We also had a babysitter come tonight while Darin & I did a little Christmas shopping & went out to dinner. Fun!

I went to the last Carleen Tanner parenting class of the semester this morning & put all 3 kids in their babysitting. Here they are doing "Five Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed" as the moms start filing in. It's pretty much like Camp Carnival... :) (realizing we were on the cruise exactly one year ago!)

Curiously, while I was at Scrapaway, the high temperatures dropped nearly 20 degrees, & all the leaves fell off our trees. Just like that! We finally got around to to raking today.

We did get out today! We met up with the Andersons from our old ward at the newly expanded JumpTime. We were there from 10am until after noon, & practically had the place to ourselves! After, we picked Darin up for lunch at Cafe Rio. It doesn't get much better than that!

It's all fun & games around here! With a neighbor friend over, Gavin on track break & Ellie being her usual game-loving self, we've pulled out nearly every game in the closet at some point today. Might be time to hit Chuck E. Cheese! Also, Darin got home tonight. Looking forward to some family time all together!

And, on the east coast, Darin was with Vince & Riley to watch the Eagles play the Cowboys. They had passes to be on the field for pre-game warm ups, then up in the stands for the game. Pretty cool!
