A nice picture of Gavin (group shot was less successful). Today was the Sacrament Meeting Primary Program. Gavin nailed his part, which consisted of 3 words: "The Last Supper" (one of several ideas on what to think about during the Sacrament.) And later, we went for a walk to deliver Boise Temple Open House invitations to all the doors on our route assignment.

Daily pickup at the bus stop... then a little playtime at the park. If it seems like these posts are Ellie-heavy, it's because she's the most willing to pose these days! She was lying down in the grass & said, "Take my picture!"
Then I said, "Ok, now don't smile..."
She wanted me to take this video too, showcasing her monkey skills:

On the way home from the bus stop, the Birds invited us into their backyard to pick a pumpkin from their garden. Once Ellie got started on the swing set, it was all over. Couldn't get her off that thing for 10 minutes! (Leah is just 3 days older than Ellie & is the only other girl in nursery at church--with about 10-12 boys!)

We had co-op preschool at our house for the first time today. During opening, I had to go get the flag from the counter, & when I got up, Ellie ran over to my seat & said, "Ok guys, here's the deal..." Silly. Later, we had a tour of a Meridian fire station as part of a birthday party. Fun day!
aaaaaand funny faces with the firefighters:

Sunday. Maybe one of my favorite pictures of this crew to date... except they're growing up too fast!
And later: it rained! First time, I think, since we moved to this house in July.

Ahhhh, Bountiful Basket... & Skyping with Darin nearly 24 hours after we dropped him off (6:54pm our time). He was in the lobby of his hotel, waiting to check in.

7:50pm curbside drop-off at the airport... Darin's heading out for a quick (8-day) trip to China.

Random: (1) We discovered that Ellie finally fits into these shoes (which Darin got in China almost two years ago), (2) At 10:17am, the sun was a little orange ball in a hazy sky thanks to the ongoing mountain fires, & (3) I got to volunteer in Gavin's class for the first time today. When I got there, the class was at recess for another few minutes, so I found Gavin's desk while I waited.

Greyson, like his brother & sister, has an affinity for all things soft (e.g. burp cloths). All I did here was spread this fleece blanket out, & said, "Awwww... so soft..." It's like a reflex--he immediately laid on it & snuggled up. Sweet little guy.

Today was Ellie's preschool field trip to the zoo. It was a fun day--we saw lots of animals. Ellie could usually be found climbing up the fences to get a better view, I suppose.

Playing hard! Later, watching the grass get mowed across the street. He'd just eaten half an avocado, hence the shirtless look.

Darin snapped pictures before we left for church today. There's an orange cast in the sky from the fires in the mountains. Gavin's looking dapper, Ellie's wearing a dress made by Grandma Bishop (originally for Brittany), & this was the only non-blurry picture of Greyson--always on the move these days!

A trip to the Capitol City Market (downtown Boise farmers market). It's our second time ever going, & we decided we should do it more often! Today we got some local corn on the cob, French baguette (to see how it compares) & some homemade fresh ravioli, along with some free samples along our walk... apples, peaches, cheese, toffee, nuts & even a piece of cake at the booth where Ellie got her "go earth" sticker. We also came across a family in our ward running a booth from their restaurant, "The Creperie." We knew of the restaurant, but didn't know it was theirs! Their son, Taiden, is Gavin's good friend from his Primary class. We never did have a crepe in Paris--always meant to, but never got around to it (gotta save something for next time!). We tried one of theirs--with banana slices & Nutella. Mmmmmm.
