Starting a new project... & Souper Salad for dinner tonight (since we had no Thanksgiving leftovers).

332/365

Darin made Monkey Bread for breakfast, & we took the easy route this year for Thanksgiving dinner... Cracker Barrel. A popular idea--we had almost an hour wait in the gift shop!
Not sure why this is blurry... who took this?? ;)
One last wear for this Thanksgiving shirt from last year!

Ellie asked for a braid today... which is surprising because she usually just wants her hair "down."

Greyson seems pretty much back to normal... picked out his own shirt today & wanted to watch a lot of Mickey. Tonight, Gavin went back to work with Darin to help organize the PD room, which involves breaking/destroying samples of warmers that might have been changed before production or not produced (all for top-secret's sake). Gavin's done it several times... & we finally got a picture!

Greyson fell asleep on our 5 minute drive home from church (we kept him out of nursery just in case...), & Ellie was the only one interested in taking a picture today!

Game day... Gav's pretty serious on the court. He loves playing, but we can't seem to get him to look as excited about basketball as he does about ice cream!

326/365

Working on getting Gavin's room into shape... finally got him a platform for his mattress. Next up, moving the top of the armoire downstairs so he has some storage. Side note: we started having him hang up all his shirts when he moved into this room (the room upstairs doesn't have a closet). He organized them by color when we were on our trip. :)

That's our girl... sporty AND glamorous (she casually walked into the kitchen wearing these).

Greyson's holding his own, but definitely needing more rest. Found him here on the bench today, fast asleep. Enjoyed some flatbread pizza for dinner that my mom taught us to make at scrapaway. Yum!

323/365

First thing Gavin wanted to do when he came home from school was throw the football. :)
Ellie had fun playing outside too, but Greyson wasn't feeling great... had a little fever.

We brought home Roman soldier gear for Gavin--knew he would love it... turns out they all do!

Missed these guys! Had a good day at church & unpacked.

Long day of travel - caught the airport shuttle at 4am, layovers in Frankfurt & Chicago, & arrived in Boise at 9pm (5am Italy time)
Meanwhile, Grandma & Grandpa took the kids to Gavin's basketball game & McDonalds for lunch! When they picked us up at the airport, we had a quick hug, & then they hopped into their car & headed for home. I regret not taking a picture right there! But it was quick... too quick! Can't even begin to thank Mom & Dad enough for taking great care of our kids for the last 12 days... It was so good to be reunited with them! Bonus: Greyson doesn't need a bottle any more (since the first day)! We're thinking about booking Mom & Dad for another trip so they can get him potty trained. ;)

Last day! We had a relaxing morning, tried to do some shopping during "siesta" but they really do  that--nothing was open! We caught our bus back to Rome this afternoon then took the train to our hotel right by the airport--we have a 6:30am flight tomorrow morning.
Last Caprese & pizza of the trip!

Today was our excursion to the island of Capri. We took a ferry to the island, then a small boat to see the entrance to the Blue Grotto. The water was too rough to go inside... We enjoyed exploring the shops & also the walking path along the front of the island, overlooking the bay. We had a great lunch on the island with our group, then went back to Sorrento where we walked up & down the main street which is full of shops. It almost felt like Charleston, SC there! Really nice.

Heading out to the Blue Grotto... we were at the very front of the boat

Coming back

Looking back at Sorrento
I liked the "Indifferent" label on the bin for non-recylables
I remember these!
