 Ellie's friend, Leah, came over to play this afternoon, & they had fun doing "girlish" things.

Also, Ellie discovered this blast from the past in the pocket behind the driver seat of the car...

Every day (I do not exaggerate), the second Gavin comes home from school, he wants to go throw the football outside. It's been awhile since I've obliged, but today was the warmest day we've had in over a week (high of 47. Woo hoo!), so we went for it.

After a busy day of visiting teaching in the morning during Ellie's preschool, followed by a nearly-four-hour Relief Society meeting (I'm the new Relief Society Secretary), we were ready for a break tonight! It also happened to be Gavin's school's fundraiser night at Chili's, so we did our part. Win-win!

Noooooooo! This had me worried, but it didn't stick... turned into rain. Ellie & I made a "Gavin" Fun Fusion--a boy to go with her 2 girl ones. I caught Grey on the dinosaur, busy at work on the Preschool app... he just might be reading as soon as he can talk! & later, he was in a very huggy mood.

Ellie was in the chair looking at a book, Greyson climbed up next to her, then she started over & "read" it to him. Sweet.

 We HAD to go to the Apple store today to get something fixed with the camera on Darin's phone. Talk about kid heaven (I couldn't even get Ellie, my picture princess, to look up from her iPad!). And of course we HAD to go to the mall play place too, since we were there. They didn't like it one bit.

We tried out Northern Lights Cinema Grill tonight using a Groupon I'd gotten awhile back. You order your dinner, then go sit down, & they bring it to you in the theater to eat while you watch the movie. Pretty fun! We saw Wreck It Ralph--really cute movie! It was also an experiment with Greyson. Since he sits in the car & watches movies so intently, I thought he might do the same if he was strapped in... so we brought in his infant car seat. Worked like a charm! (The colorful animation probably helped too)

Reason #87 that Ellie should be potty trained by now: she's outgrown public restroom changing tables. Reeeeediculous. In other news, Gavin, says he did not realize having a loose tooth would hurt so much. He requested that I cut his apples into smaller pieces so he doesn't have to use his bottom front teeth.

 Gavin came home from school with his first loose tooth! Here's his "before" mouth, & we'll update once he loses it. Gav loves going to school. He's been diligent in his homework & reading assignment (20 minutes a day), & he's getting to be a really good reader!

Preschool is at our house this week. Today we talked about dinosaurs... & I discovered how much they like to watercolor! I also just realized this is the third post in a row with pictures at our kitchen table. :)

After FHE, Darin broke out his new Velata warmer (his birthday gift from Scentsy) for us to try out. He prepared the plate of dippers too--impressive I thought! I remember saying as I took this picture, "You guys look like a Velata commercial!"

& then Darin KILLED me & Gavin in Dominoes. Rematch!!!

Gavin signed & addressed Valentines Day cards tonight for his 23 classmates. The girls got Fun Dips, & the boys got Cars Valentines with a sucker. (using up our extra Valentines from last year)

Greyson still had a bit of a fever today. Ellie woke up with one too, but you wouldn't have known it... she was her regular spunky self! They played with toys (pretending to sleep), & in the afternoon, Ellie wanted an Otter Pop. Hadn't had one since summertime, but she wanted one today. My brilliant plan? Otter Pops in the bathtub. Awesome.

 Greyson had a slight fever today... Darin brought him home after Sacrament meeting. Even when he's not feeling the greatest, he can still manage a smile.

 Our KitchenAid had started going in super fast speed... unless I pressed on the back of it. I was showing Darin the other day, & in the process it blew up & stopped working all together. So it sat on our counter like this until we could figure out what to do with it. Today, I got out the hand mixer to use, & it didn't work when I plugged it in. Turns out, we'd only blown a fuse in the outlet with the KitchenAid, and after tightening up the screws, it's as good as new.
